Review of the holiday

Happy New Year!!!

The two weeks holiday was a well-deserved break for me. I feel like I deserved it because I believe that I have worked hard throughout the first term and what I have to show for my hard work is the fact that I have not received one referral from any of my assignments and I thank God for that. Another thing that I have to show is that I got an award from the head of house which shows that I am getting noticed.

In the holiday I noticed that college has helped me to develop in a positive and the way that I organised myself to do things. I noticed this because we were given two assignments to do over the Christmas period and I completed it in the first week. The reason why this is a surprise to me is because since year 7 up until now anytime I get set an assignment set for me to do over the holidays I normally decide to do it last minute, but not this time despite the distractions I focused on completing it then enjoying the rest of the holiday.

In the holidays I got employee of the month at my workplace this was recognition that I was happy about because receiving employee of the month in a big company is something that would look good on my CV and on my personal statement which I am going to create when it is time for me to start applying for college.

Challenges so far

I always have the same challenge in the first week after a holiday which is that I struggle to wake up early to catch the fast train to college. This is because in the holidays I woke up anytime that I felt like. The result of me waking up late is that I arrive at my first lesson late. Being late to lessons results in possibly missing out on key information that the teacher explain to the class. The information might be needed in my next assignment.

In order to avoid this next time I believe that I need start waking up early 3 days before school start so by the first day back my body has already got back in the normal routine.

Development in the 2^nd term

In order for me to develop in this term commencing 5^th January I believe I need start doing more research because the skill to research is something that I am going to need when completing my distinction tasks and I will further need it in university when I am writing dissertation. So if I master the skill now it means that I can advance on it when I do need in university and it might make my reports for my distinction task across all units professional.
